How God Became King

The latest book by N.T. Wright won't let you down. It's another work that will challenge your thinking and comfort. The book is essentially a survey of the Gospels.

Wright carefully argues that our way of hearing what the Gospels sound like doesn't fully appreciate the complete symphony. Using the metaphor of surround sound, Wright says we tend to turn the volume up in some speakers and down in others. Wright aims to accomplish helping us adjust all the speakers so that we clearly hear the message of the Gospels that is often times forgotten or faintly assumed, which is God became King.

Wright begins with how the creeds contribute to hiding the main theme, but in the end he appreciates the creeds and provides a healthier way of saying them while remembering God is King.
