I recently had the pleasure of meeting with David and Nancy French, authors of Home and Away: A Story of Family in a Time of War. More than the fact that they are both very accomplished people, their story is a remarkable one.
As a lawyer, David was inspired to join the Army Reserves and while he is deployed to Iraq, Nancy takes on the tasks at home such as raising kids and paying off all of their debt (which David had no idea it was getting paid off). This book is fun and inspiring to read.
I am a little bias on two fronts though. One, they are fellow Bisons from Lipscomb University. Second, they give attention to Dave Ramsey in two chapters. If you want to read a better synopsis of their story check out the article at My Total Money Makeover.
