Dave Ramsey's Entreleadership Book

There's a new Dave Ramsey book coming out in a few weeks called EntreLeadership: 20 Years of Practical Business Wisdom from the Trenches

As member of Dave's team, I have had the experience of going through the Entreleadership Series a few times and it's fabulous stuff.  Especially, for someone who wants to start their own business and hasn't had any kind prior experience or education with running a business.

It's great for the larger organization leader as well.  The book provides perspective on the way Dave started his business and grew it to where it is today.

"Ramsey offers that life-changing message as host of a nationally syndicated radio program, The Dave Ramsey Show, which is heard by 4.5 million listeners each week, on more than 500 radio stations throughout the United States. In 2009, he was honored as the National Association of Broadcaster's Marconi Award winner."

Going against the flow of traffic

One of my pet peeves are walkers and runners who don't use the sidewalk when it's available and in good condition. It also irks me when they walk on the wrong side of the road, especially early in the morning or in the evening when the sun isn't up. Don't they know they're suppose to go against the traffic instead of with the traffic?

This leads me to questions. In what areas of my life should I be running against the flow of traffic? After all, it might just save my life.

Naming problems

When is the last time you gave a name to each problem you face? Even if you listed out all of the problems do you think you can be honest enough to name the real problem?

For example, if I spend to much money and go over my budget you might say I have a money problem because I don't have enough income. However, the honest answer could be that I am just too lazy to double-check my budget before buying something I didn't really need.

You'll only find solutions for your problems when you call them what they really are. Otherwise, you'll just be treating the symptoms and not the disease. If you can't name your problems accurately then you've just listed your first problem.
