This past weekend I was honored by being asked to officiate a wedding for some dear family members. As I have spent the last several months thinking about what I would say during the service, the thought that kept coming to the forefront of my mind was one of theological significance.
Marriage is an institution that I believe was established by God for one man and one woman. Although there is more to say on that subject alone, the more important point is that marriage is more than a union between man and woman, but it is also a testimony of God's love and desire for relationship with his image bearing creation.
May all our marriages be a testimony of the love of God.
