Squirrel Deterrent

We always had problems with squirrels stealing the bird food. I think a new cartoon series "Man vs Squirrel" could easily be the next Wiley vs. Roadrunner. So, all you cartoonists out there show me what you've got.

Anyway, this could be one of the funniest squirrel deterrents I've ever seen. I wonder if it kept the squirrel from coming back.

Bryce Harper and the future of Baseball

Can you imagine only being 16, throwing a fastball at 96 mph and hitting a 570 foot homerun? I just read an article in the latest Sports Illustrated about a kid who can do that and more. You may want to keep your eyes open for Bryce Harper in the next few years. He's already being seen as the next Lebron James for baseball. He's impressive.

I'm a celebrity, get me baptized!

Last night as we were getting the kids ready for bed we just happened to notice that "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" was on. This was the first time we had watched this show, but you can imagine our surprise when we saw Stephen Baldwin baptizing Spencer Pratt.

There's a lot to talk about but rather than talking about it, I decided to list the questions I think people will be talking about. Feel free to comment on any of them.
  1. Janice Dickinson said his baptism would not count since Stephen was not an ordained minister. Is that a problem for you?
  2. Are your sins forgiven if you mock baptism? Was Spencer mocking Stephen? Was Spencer saved then and there?
  3. Did Stephen follow the 5 steps of salvation when teaching Specner: Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess, and THEN get baptized? (Only you CofCs will get this one)
  4. Was the "liberal machine" NBC mocking Christianity or was the Holy Spirit with Stephen and using this scene to take back America's Christian values? Is NBC repenting?
  5. Does this scene support the argument that churches should stop building baptistery's since the ROI isn't really worth it? It seems that most people get baptized outside in the summer at church camp or on a mission trip like in Costa Rica, right?
All joking aside, If the Spencer Pratts of the world came to you and asked to be baptized, how would you respond and furthermore how do you think Christ responds?
