I love cigarette smoke

I know it seems odd to say that I love cigarette smoke but before you become concerned for my health let me explain. Even though I'm not a smoker, I have a lot of cherished memories that are recalled when my nose catches a whiff of tobacco at the right time.

I just spent a week at the beach and on the floor below us at our condo, the guests would light up on the balcony. As I sat outside reading a book and enjoying the view the smell actually took me back to my childhood when we would camp on the beach and ride our bikes through the campground. Others would sit by the fire and smoke and as we passed by, the smell was associated with a fun event.

I also like the smell of tobacco smoke at ball games and county fairs. I still don't care for it at restaurants or other indoor places.

  1. I'm with you, Ben. I grew up with my mom and sometimes my dad smoking. Heck, mom even smoked at the hospital when all 8 of us were born (not all at once)! Out of the whole fam, only two of us ended up smoking - and I gave it up 5 years ago. While I don't smoke anymore, I've made up my mind that I will not become a non-smoker. Besides, it seems like smokers are more fun!

  2. Fascinating! I have never heard anyone say they liked the smell of cigarette smoke. Brian & I both get completely nauseated and have horrible headaches when we are near it since there is no longer a smoker in our house, PRAISE GOD! Cigars on the other hand...my dad passed away when I was a kid, but every once in a while, I catch the smell of his cigar in the air, and I absolutely love that...
