Squirrel Deterrent

We always had problems with squirrels stealing the bird food. I think a new cartoon series "Man vs Squirrel" could easily be the next Wiley vs. Roadrunner. So, all you cartoonists out there show me what you've got.

Anyway, this could be one of the funniest squirrel deterrents I've ever seen. I wonder if it kept the squirrel from coming back.

  1. That is funny.....I wish we could see what happened to the squirrel. We've suffered problems with them for years.

  2. This is too funny. Do you think one can be built for racoons?

  3. Pretty funny. When we lived in Chicago, a black squirrel lived in the backyard of our three flat apartment. This was not an ordinary squirrel. No, it was an evil little animal that loved to torment our dog. Example: Take the dog outside to do his business. Dog does his business. Squirrel spots dog and jumps down on tree branch. Squirrel chatters at dog until dog barks incessantly. When dog attempts to chase squirrel, said black squirrel scampers back up the tree adn continues to chatter at said dog and throws leaves and/or nuts at dog.

I do not have a problem with this squirrel deterrent (and I am a professed animal lover). Squirrels are just cute rats.

  4. I just found video footage of the trap that shows how far the squirrel flies. I replaced the image with the video.

  5. Squirrels are evil!!! If you do "Man vs. Squirrel," the first episode could be taped at my house. They have been in my attic, eat the bird's food, and generally are an annoyance. But my wife loves watching them...just not in the attic. Squirrel flinging might be just the trick...and provide hours of entertainment as well.
