Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center

At the end of June, three others and myself are going to be playing in a golf tournament to raise money for the Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center located in downtown Nashville. The Center exists to provide childcare for low income families from the inner city. WRCCC is a 501c3 non-profit, and depends on donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and blog readers like yourself.

Here is the impact the Center is having on the community.
For thirty years, the High/Scope Perry Preschool Project tracked low-income children that attended high-quality preschool. Researchers discovered that over the years these children exhibited the following:
  • Increased high school graduation rates;
  • Less need for public assistance as adults;
  • Fewer births out of wedlock;
  • Higher earnings potential ;
  • Higher rates of home ownership;
  • Fewer arrests.
Our golf team is trying to raise as much money as possible for the Center. If you are reading this and feel like donating (even if it's only $5-$20), you would be making an impact on Inner City Nashville. According to other studies, every $1 you donate it saves tax payers $7.

How you can help
You can donate to the center online via PayPal.

If you or your business would be interested in donating $250 or more, email me at ben4rest[at]gmail.com and I'll tell you about the sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming golf tournament.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you donate, please feel free to leave a comment below.
