What's Peeving You?

The more people learn about Pet Peeving, the more people share their personal pet peeves with me. I love hearing what gets under the skin of others and thought that you may enjoy reading them too.

Simply post a comment below and share what's peeving you today. Every now and then, I will take the liberty of discussing further, some of the peeves listed.

got one.... Office space all over.... Burns has a coworker who chews not just one, but three pieces of doubble bubble at once, and has the ever so evil talent that one can only receive from the devil, to pop her gum..... on EVERY CHEW.... and everyone but her gets it when I belt out the famous song by 3rd Bass, Pop Goes The Weasel!

There are so many driving related pet peeves out there. Close followers, high-speed lane weavers, road construction, one way streets, late mergers, speed bumps, pot holes, railroad crossings, and litter/road debris to name a few. I try to avoid these problem causers, but now and then I'll still accidentally hit an unidentified scrap of something and cringe or come up on a place where they're re-paving the road and hear all the little tar crumbs sprinkling up on your paint job as the guy waves you through the mess. Speaking of tar, I parked under a railroad bridge once and several big blobs landed on my hood that still won't come off-luckily that vehicle is black and 12 years old, as opposed to new and white.

I hate going to the grocery store self-checkout and getting stuck behind the moron that has no idea how to work the machine but decided to forego the checkout lane with a real person anyway.

Please stop using the machine if you don't know how to use it. Stop standing there staring at it and calling other people over - just go to a lane with a real person! Why do you choose to use a machine you have no idea how to operate with six people standing behind you? Do you see me saying, "You know what, it's rush hour. Now would be a great time for me to get on the interstate and learn how to drive a stick shift!" Crap no!

The worst is I've seen the same people trying to use these machines over and over. Give it up. You know that phrase, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it?" It's a lie. It's not true. That's just something people tell kindergartners so they'll finish school. Some people, no matter how hard they try could never be a heart surgeon. And some people, no matter how hard they try, could never learn how to operate the self-checkout machine at the grocery store.

I work at Wendy's, and one of the most annoying things is when people order things that are not on the menu.... Or HARDCORE mis-pronounce words. Like our new frescata sandwhiches. I would say about I dont know 65 times a day people ask for a freschetta sandwhich. And all I want to say is "Sorry Mam/Sir we dont sell pizza here". But i cant say that. Or when people ask for happy meals and chicken MCnuggets... and the best of all someone last week ordered a Chalupa. ????? A CHALUPA?????? THIS IS WENDY'S NOT TACO BELL.

And last but not least.... I HATE HATE HATE. When people say good, instead of well.. GOD IT BUGS ME
So just dont do it

my pet peeve? when members of your family (in my case its my mother; she smokes like a chimeny stack and perpetually smells like a cigarrete) or people in general forcibly inflict passive smoking on you. Your not only destroying your own lungs (that strictly your own business) but your destroying the lungs of everyone esle who has to live in the house.

so NO SMOKING! its bad for you and everyone esle around you. (not to mention you might run the risk of having the cigarrete jammed up any available orifices of yours by irate family members/co-workers etc.
